The staff was fantastic. Very professional, kind and helpful. The location was perfect. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate were available in the breakfast room all the time (though I would have enjoyed making coffee in my room). Breakfast was served every morning. It was always tasty and fresh with enough variety for a 3 night stay. I would recommend this hotel to family and friends and stay again myself.

Situated in the region of Central Macedonia, Thessaloniki is the 2nd largest city in Greece and a precious cultural center. Built near the sea, this modern metropolis used to be the crossroads between east and west, and houses some of the most amazing Byzantine and Ottoman monuments.
This lively city is full of large avenues, green squares, stunning Neo-Classical buildings and stylish shops. The White Tower of Thessaloniki is an imposing landmark on the waterfront and is the symbol of the city - a reminder of old times.

Beautiful city was excellent, many reasonably-priced, restaurants. The many bars and cafes and outdoor seating are among the best of any city. The location on the sea and its many museums and churches provided lots to do. We took a day-long excursion to Meteora that I would highly recommend; with longer stays we could have also gone to Philip's tomb and other historical places easily. The core of the city is small enough you don't have to use public transportation, and access to airport is good. The city seems much more neighborly, friendly and safe than Athens.

Within 2 days you can cover the city attractions. It sould be great to take 2 days for tours outsifde the city. Excellent street food. The old city should be accessed by bus or taxi, because it is located on the steep side of the city.

Thessaloniki is an amazing city.
Thessaloniki is an amazing city. Our only disappointment was not being able to stay longer. Wonderful restaurants everywhere, plenty of museums, delightful neighborhoods. We hope to return---sooner rather than later. And Sky Studios are first-class, but economical!! When we do come back, we plan to stay at Sky Studios again. Special thanks to Thanos!!

Busy, buzzing , friendly city with cool waterfront. Lots going on, great food options. Good transport links to airport by bus and to Volos/ Athens by train…& into mountains to see waterfalls at Edessa by train. Loved this place, very different from staying on the islands. Nice view of Mount Olympus across bay and easy access to see flamingo lagoon by bus.

Thessaloniki is an easily accessible city either by foot or the 90 cents bus rides. A great vibe from the large student population with cafe or bars on nearly every corner. Meals at any levels are good value for money with both traditional Greek food and modern cuisine available. Plenty to see within the city with museums or locations - easy to venture further a field if desired. Note this is a city break and not a beach holiday. Beaches are at least 35 minutes out of the city via transport. However, it was still easy to find places to relax within the city and you are never too far from the sea. The highlights were definitely the market and the Archaeological Museum but there are plenty of ancient landmarks to find throughout the streets.

Great city to chill and enjoy street art, modern art and great architecture. Also, the food was amazing everywhere and the possibility to walk by the sea is always a good addition to a relaxing vacation. I believe this city would be perfect for a 4 days trip and then explore the other cities nearby.
The Modernist was a great choice for a short stay in Thessaloniki. What I valued most was the support provided by the hotel staff before, during, and after the stay - including helpful suggestions for what to do in the city and booking a last-minute taxi to the airport. The location is fantastic, a few minutes away from most of the places that we wanted to visit and very close to a number of popular dining places. I personally also enjoyed the minimalist aesthetic, which sets it apart from most other hotels in that area.
The view from the balcony was magnificent, over the fortress of Thessaloniki. Unlike in other downtown hotels, there is a place to stop with car and unload the cases, without the fear you would be picked up by the service. Just around the corner (30m) is valet garage, 15eur/day, 50 m on the other side of the hotel is a public parking, but I doubt it is much cheaper - maybe 2-3 eur less. Supermarket, shops and Tzimiski street walking distance. Good breakfast.
My husband and I liked this hotel very much. It is located in the heart of Thessaloniki. It is minutes away from Aristotelous Square, the Ladadika area, the bazaar and the waterfront promenade. Our hotel room spacious with beautiful windows and the balcony. Everything was very clean. There is a small elevator. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly, offering to help us with anything we needed. We would return to this hotel.
we allways stay here when we cross Thessaloniki on our way to our holidays in Greece. Very clean ,great & helpful staff ( we left early in the morning and they prepared some toast and fruits for the road ❤️). The rooms are small but for us this wasn’t a problem. All in all, see u Grand Port Suites next time! P.s we also had parking spot in front of the hotel! 🤘
A small hotel in the center of Thessaloniki. I don't know when it was built but it was clean and spotless like out of the box. A very spacious room for three with a spacious bathroom with all the amenities and the appliances working perfectly. Upon arrival they treat you with bottled water and a bottle of wine.
Staff were brilliant. Really friendly and helpful especially Beach Bar, Restaurant and main bar staff. Rooms and beds were large and comfortable. Very wide choice and decent quality food in the buffet restaurant. Tons of sun beds available around the pools and on the beach. Gorgeous beach by the hotel.

It is a true 5 star hotel, one of the few I saw in Greece. And what makes it 5 star is the personnel. Many many thanks to the manager and her colleagues, good people and good professionals. Will come back for sure any time we will be in Thessaloniki!
I am traveling for a year and mostly staying in budget hotels. For my birthday I treated myself on a 5 star hotel and a nice room. Absolutely liked it. staff was nice and professional and the bottle of wine (and some treats) were very appreciated.
